The SBI Card CRDB (Coal India Retired Executives Database) is a co-branded lifetime-free credit card designed primarily for Coal India retired employees and their families, though it is available to qualifying applicants more broadly. The card delivers 1% reward points on fuel and groceries — the two categories most relevant to households with vehicle owners — and 0.5% on all other transactions. As a lifetime free card with no joining fee and no annual fee, it provides pure upside on rewards without any cost pressure. The fuel surcharge waiver at all fuel stations (capped at ₹100 per month) provides meaningful savings for regular commuters. EMI conversion on purchases above ₹2,500 allows cardholders to manage larger purchases. While the card lacks lounge access and premium travel benefits, its zero cost and focused reward structure make it an excellent supplementary card for fuel and grocery optimization.
