How to track EPF balance without UAN password?

Asked 2 Jan 2026·234 views
I changed jobs and have lost access to my old EPF account. I have the UAN number but cannot login because I do not remember the password and my registered mobile number is no longer active. How can I check my EPF balance and transfer it to my current account?

You can check EPF balance via UMANG app without login: Download UMANG, go to EPFO > Employee > View Passbook. You will need to enter UAN and OTP, but OTP goes to the UAN-linked mobile. If that is also inactive, visit the EPFO field office with your Aadhaar and PAN to update the mobile number first.

For transferring EPF from old to new account, log in at and use the One Member One EPF Account transfer option. If you cannot login, submit physical Form 13 at the EPFO office of your new employer. The transfer should be completed within 30 days.
