IndusInd Bank
IndusInd Bank Limited is one of India's new-generation private sector banks, founded in 1994 by Srichand P. Hinduja under the Hinduja Group and headquartered in Pune, Maharashtra. The bank is listed on the BSE and NSE, is a constituent of the Nifty 50, and is regulated by the Reserve Bank of India under the Banking Regulation Act, 1949 — depositor funds are insured by DICGC up to ₹5 lakh per depositor. IndusInd Bank operates more than 2,000 branches and 2,700+ ATMs across India, with a strong corporate and retail banking presence that makes it a preferred salary banker for Indian corporates, multinationals, and IT/ITES firms. The IndusInd Bank Salary Account is a zero-balance savings account opened under a corporate salary tie-up between the employer and the bank. It earns interest at 3.5% p.a. on the daily closing balance, in line with the bank's premium savings rate, and the Monthly Average Balance (MAB) requirement is fully waived for the entire duration of the corporate relationship. If the monthly salary credit is missed for two consecutive months, the account is treated as a regular IndusInd Bank Savings Account and the prevailing MAB slab applies. Account holders get full access to IndusMobile — the bank's mobile banking app — and IndusInd Net Banking, which together cover UPI, IMPS, bill payments, FD/RD booking, and one-tap salary credit alerts. IndusInd Bank issues a complimentary IndusInd Bank Platinum Debit Card with the salary account, with domestic and international POS and ATM acceptance, and higher debit card variants at higher salary tiers. The debit card bundles complimentary personal accident insurance and air accident insurance, with the sum insured notified at the time of card issuance. Free unlimited NEFT, RTGS, and IMPS transactions are processed through IndusMobile and IndusInd Net Banking, with no per-transaction cap and no monthly fee. On retirement, resignation, or job change, the salary account is automatically converted to a standard IndusInd Bank Savings Account — preserving the account number, UPI ID, debit card, and netbanking access without any fresh documentation. Account opening requires an Aadhaar, PAN, employer ID, latest salary slips, and a photograph, and the account is governed by RBI's master directions on savings accounts and interest rate on deposits.
