Careers at FinWiz24
Indian credit cards change every week — reward caps move, lounge programmes shift, eligibility rules tighten. Reading the fine print and turning it into useful guidance for Indian consumers is the job.
How we work
FinWiz24 is a small, fully-remote editorial team. Every analyst owns a sub-domain (rewards, travel, cashback, eligibility, fraud, business cards, etc.). We read the issuer's published schedule of charges before scoring a card, cross-check reward rates against current circulars, and update reviews whenever terms change. Editors do not accept trips, gifts, or referrals from issuers, and no placement on the site is sold.
Areas we hire for
We hire on a rolling basis into the role families below. We don't publish individual openings — applications are reviewed against upcoming slots as they arrive.
-
Credit Card Analyst
Own a card sub-domain end-to-end: read the issuer's schedule of charges, score reward programmes, and write the review that holds up to a savvy reader's scrutiny.
- Read a 30-page schedule of charges and surface the clauses that actually cost cardholders money
- Cross-check published reward rates against the latest issuer circulars
- Turn fee structures, lounge-network pricing, and eligibility bars into a comparable score
-
Travel & Co-brand Cards Specialist
Deep-dive the airline co-brand, hotel-status, and Visa/Mastercard travel-benefit ecosystem — points valuations, transfer partners, lounge quality, insurance coverage.
- Map earn rates and transfer-partner options across Amex MR, Visa Infinite, Marriot Bonvoy, EDGE Miles, etc.
- Verify lounge quality and insurance coverage against current programme documents
- Track devaluations the month they happen, not the month after
-
Rewards, Cashback & Benefits Editor
Cover the everyday-spend side of cards: cashback caps, milestone trackers, dining/fuel/utility rewards, and the boring-but-important benefits (insurance, concierge, fuel surcharge waiver).
- Audit reward-cap mechanics: monthly vs. quarterly resets, accelerated-earning periods, partner exclusions
- Maintain a running list of issuer-side T&C changes the moment they're published
- Write spend-model calculators that hold up against realistic Indian household budgets
-
Eligibility & Policy Editor
Cover RBI policy, the banking ombudsman framework, eligibility criteria, and dispute resolution — the half of credit-card ownership most review sites skip.
- Track RBI circulars, the 2021 zero-liability rule, auto-debit mandates, and tokenisation standards
- Map income/credit-score bands to actual card-eligibility outcomes at every major issuer
- Write dispute-resolution playbooks based on documented case data, not legal theory
-
SEO Editor & Technical Writer
Edit editorial copy for clarity, structure, and search intent. Improve internal-link networks, refresh underperforming guides, and keep every page on the brand-voice contract.
- Rewrite card pages and guides that read like marketing copy into editorial copy
- Hunt for internal-link opportunities between calculators, blog posts, and card reviews
- Hold the line on the no-hype / no-overclaiming / primary-sources-cited voice contract
How to apply
Send the structured note below to [email protected]. We read every email; expect a reply within ten working days.
- Your name, city, and time zone.
- Which area of interest (pick one or two — the ones you can speak fluently about).
- Links to two recent pieces you've written about credit cards, banking, or personal finance in India.
- A short note on one card FinWiz24 currently reviews — what we'd got right, what we'd got wrong, and why.
- Your LinkedIn and (optional) portfolio URL.
What we don't do
- We don't run paid placements. No "advertiser-friendly" card reviews exist on FinWiz24.
- We don't accept issuer referrals, sponsored trips, or any benefit tied to favouring a card.
- We don't publish openings designed to favour a specific candidate. Hiring decisions are made against the same email every other applicant sends to.
