What we cover
FinWiz24 explains tax law (Income Tax Act 2025, Income-tax Rules 2026, GST, TDS) and loan products in plain English. Every explainer page is built from the primary legal text, the supporting rules, and the latest government guidance — with worked examples that show the actual math. There is no overall star rating; we present the law as it reads, and let readers apply it to their own situation.
Where the numbers come from
Primary sources only: the Income Tax Act 2025, the Income-tax Rules 2026, CBDT circulars and notifications, GST Council press releases, and RBI master directions. We do not take aggregator summaries, press releases, or social-media threads as the first source. If a provision is not published, we print "Not notified" or "Under review" rather than estimate it.
How rates and limits are handled
We record the Act's provision or the Rules' rate verbatim, then show the worked calculation — for example, "new regime slab of ₹3–6 lakh at 5%" with the resulting tax. Slab breakpoints, deduction caps, and penalty amounts are stated next to the rule so you can re-derive the number. Calculators on this site use the notified rates from the Act or Rules.
Refresh cadence
Tax explainer pages are re-verified against the Act, Rules, and any new circulars after every CBDT or GST Council meeting. When a provision changes, the affected pages are updated and the "last updated" stamp reflects the date a human last verified the numbers.
What independence means here
No lender, bank, or government body pays for placement or omission of a downside. Analysts who write explainers do not negotiate affiliate arrangements. Found something that looks inconsistent? Report it and we will investigate: [email protected].
Limitations
Our data reflects the published law at the time of verification. The Income Tax Act 2025 and Rules 2026 are new (in force since 1 April 2026) and their interpretation is still developing. Always confirm the live provision with a qualified tax adviser or the Income Tax Department's own guidance before filing — our explainers help you understand the law; they do not replace a tax professional.
