Every number traces to a source
Card fees, reward rates, lounge access rules, eligibility bars — each figure on FinWiz24 comes from a primary source we checked on the page's "last updated" date. This page explains what counts as a source and where to find them yourself.
Issuer primary documents
The hierarchy: (1) the credit card fee schedule — a PDF each issuer is required to publish and update; (2) the product Terms & Conditions and cardholder agreement; (3) the issuer's official product page. Where an issuer's site hides these, we keep dated copies so figures can be re-verified after a refresh.
Regulators and filings
For anything touching cards at scale, we rely on Reserve Bank of India circulars (rbi.org.in) — the source for rules like free-pass and auto-pay rights, and the Digital Lending guidelines — and on SEBI filings (sebi.gov.in) for issuer disclosures. Market-level statistics cite the RBI monthly banking statistics.
Bank and network directory data
Issuer facts on the /banks/ landings (licence status, headquarters, establishment year, toll-free lines) trace to the RBI list of licensed banks and each issuer's investor-relations pages and published customer-care directories. Network facts on /networks/ (operator, founded year, coverage, support lines) trace to the networks' own portals — Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club — and to NPCI for RuPay. Card counts, fee ranges, and reward-rate ranges on those pages are computed live from the tracked card records, not copied from marketing copy.
Reward program documents
Point values, transfer partners, and caps usually live in reward-program terms, not the fee schedule. We cite them separately, because a redemption-value change is a real fee change that issuers often publish quietly.
What we never use as the first source
Aggregator rate cards, bank-agent WhatsApp forwards, press releases claiming "industry-best" without a number, and social-media threads. Those can tell us something changed; verification still happens in the issuer's documents.
Verify us
Every claim is checkable by you — the same documents are public. If you find a figure that contradicts the issuer's current schedule, the corrections process exists for exactly that.
