How FinWiz24 sources, writes, reviews, and updates the content that drives every recommendation on this site.

Our promise
FinWiz24 is an independent credit-card comparison platform. We are not a chartered accountancy firm, not a government-authorised financial advisor, and not affiliated with any regulatory body. We do not sell cards ourselves; we earn a commission when a user applies through our tracked links and is approved by the issuing bank. That revenue lets us pay our editorial team — but it never dictates which cards we recommend, the order we list them in, or the language we use to describe them. Our editorial decisions are made by humans, and our recommendations are reproducible from the data we publish.
The 7-step editorial process
- Source. Every card detail starts from the bank's own product page and key-fact statement (KFS). We cross-check against the bank's most recent rate sheet and the Reserve Bank of India's published disclosures.
- Structure. Our taxonomy team assigns the card to one or more categories (rewards, travel, cashback, fuel, lifetime-free, business, …) and picks the editorial comparison axes (annual fee vs reward rate, lounge access, eligibility, …).
- Draft. A staff writer — never a contractor — drafts the card page using a fixed template that surfaces pros, cons, fees, rewards, eligibility, alternative cards, and FAQs in that order.
- Fact-check. Every number on the page (fee, reward rate, lounge count, forex markup) is verified against the bank's KFS by a different team member — never the same person who wrote it. See Fact Check.
- Review. A senior editor reviews the prose for clarity, brand voice, and balance. Cards with poor user-review patterns get a "Mixed reviews" callout so the headline rating is not the only signal.
- Publish + datestamp. The page ships with a visible Verified on timestamp on every fact. Bank terms change — our freshness policy mandates a re-check every 90 days for active cards and 30 days for cards in promotional windows.
- Re-verify. We re-verify on the schedule above, or sooner if a bank announces a fee change, a reward devaluation, or a product discontinuation. Every re-verification updates the Verified on timestamp and appends a diff to the card's edit log.
What we will never do
- Accept payment in exchange for a higher ranking or a more favourable headline.
- Hide material information — particularly that we earn a commission when you apply through our links (see Affiliate Disclosure).
- Publish a card detail page without a verifiable primary source for every fee and reward number on the page.
- Use fake user testimonials, paid reviews, or astroturfed Q&A. See Review Methodology.
Corrections
If you spot a mistake, email [email protected]. We acknowledge within 2 business days and publish a correction notice on the affected page if the error is material.
